Meta (Facebook) results were rather disappointing and see the impact on the stock. It opened more than 25% down! They have lost $250 Billion in a historic wipeout. As a result, NASDAQ fell heavily. We have already seen a similar scenario when Netflix announced their results. However, Amazon posted amazing results and the futures rose. The Asian markets are not reacting much to yesterday’s fall.

The DIIs also were net sellers yesterday though by small quantities after continuous buying. How institutions act today will be crucial for the week’s close.

HDFC dropped by more than 3% and contributed the maximum to yesterday’s fall. Infosys also was weak as NASDAQ futures were trading deep in the red. Let us watch these stocks along with SBI that is trading near the breakout zone ahead of results to be out today.

I will be closely watching 38,750 in BANK NIFTY as there is a chance for gap-filling if that level is crossed. 17,630 has to be crossed in NIFTY for recovery mode to kick-start. Will this week candle be a red candle? Let us know in the comments section.
